I set the audio at MP3, 22kHz, Mono, 96kBits/sec. This also seems to work better for guys using Macs where the audio can get scrambled if compressed further. The feedback on my videos fits with your survey - show length of video, allow pause, and include a table of contents so the viewer can move thru the content, and never auto-play - basically give them all the control possible.
