Hi Jim
Love your no nonsense approach..thanks. I’m about to launch a face fainting business around town…I’m the only local doing this, so even those few points you just made in the video, fine tune me in preparation for this new biz. Look forward to the webinar next Thursday!

I love you new site….It’s awesome, the only thing my eyes don’t like is the big box that cuts you off. But, that’s just me, I am a very visual person, and that box looks very rigid, next to your lifelike picture. I also like your video, it looks different than normal, not sure why either :)

See you on the webinar…I still truly believe you are the very best out there.

Jim,
this was terrific. It made me embarrassed though that i can’t put my offer in that short 3-5 second time period. You’ve definitely given me alot of food for thought.
thanks for being so good to us.
hope all is well in your busy world and I echo Ruth’s sentiments completely about your new site you have to fix that white box so we can see ALL or our wonderful Jim :-)

Your right Jim, every time I ask that same question, they go on and on, mostly listing all the services or products they have.

Then when I ask what’s your flagship product or service, mostly all I get back is huh?

Very sad indeed.

Good info. Going to apply it to my pro wrestling school.

Jimbo, that was right on… I would say as much as 99% of local businesses don’t know what their offer is. They often don’t realise that people have tuned out after the first 10 words. Like a website, you only have seconds to capture their attention… Tuning into the WIIFM channel from the first word is critical. Love the new design… a few tweaks and it’ll be superb :)

Thanks for this excellent information, Jim. And it’s SO TRUE! The vast majority of businesses have no idea how to express the value they have to offer, let alone do it in 3-5 seconds! You always give us killer information we can really use that puts us far ahead of our competition!

I’ll definitely be on the webinar!

Mike,

Yep… but it’s more important than ever now to OWN their minds right up front!

Hi Ian,

Thanks… we’re “tweaking” as we speak :-)

Hi Jim
You are so right -when you ask someone ‘what they do’ you need to have a chair handy because the verbal that comes out sometimes ‘beggars belief’ – and at the end of this verbal tirade – sometimes you are none the wiser!
Why the chair? – in case of emergency – much better to be sitting down if someone is ‘droning on’ and you wished you’d never asked!!
Politeness sometimes comes at a cost?

P.S. Like the new blog layout – but agree with Ruth – white box needs sorting out!

Graham,

LOL… well-said… very well-said!

Thanks :-)

Jim,

How is it that you can give away so much quality infomation. I’ve learned a lot from you as compared to some of “crap” I’ve paid money for.
Your content has such high value it is challenge for me to do this in my area of “expertise”
I am so glad that I got your mini -site creator.
All these videos you do are just icing on top of the icing!

Thanks again!

Jim
I like the clean feel of the blog and the way comments are handled…neat. It is also nice that it is not cluttered up with banners and odd adds. Keep it clean…

The #1 Business Problem post is excellent. I have struggled with this issue for years, occasionally coming up with something that actually works. Of course you know if it is working quickly enough…blank stare, huh? and all. But, your formula really can help….
So, thank you!
Will

Glad you liked the video… it’s worth the effort!

Right on the money, Jim. I learned this a few years ago and like being on a great diet, I fall off the wagon from time to time. It’s the difference between a single sentence instead of a paragraph; was the way I learned it.

Hi Jim
Your new site looks great – nice and clean; congratulations. My only suggestion would be to place the “Blog Sponsors” (oops, an o, not an e!) lower than the video screen; the action in the ads distracted me while I was watching the video.
Otherwise thank you for your generous sharing of helpful information!
