My BIG Prediction For 2006

Jim Edwards here with an update… actually my prediction of what will shape the Internet next year!

In fact, I predict this will be THE BIGGEST THING that shapes the direction of the ENTIRE Internet next year when it comes to marketing ANYthing (including on eBay).

Do you know WHAT it is?

Do you know WHY I say it’s going to happen? (It has to do with Google, Cisco Systems, Apple and "Welcome Back Kotter" re-runs!)

Melinda :

Hey Jim,

I just wanted to say that I loved your co-presenters (the dogs). Their presence created an informal and friendly atmosphere in the video! And they’re pretty cute, too :)
Melinda

Hi, Jim…

Loved the video, my head is already spinning with ideas.

FYI, I tried to sign up for the earlybird list, but I got an error. Something about no vendor ID…

Hi Jim,

You are bang on Jim with your prediction for 2006. I couldn’t agree more “FULL MOTION VIDEO” is coming of age.

Warmly,
Mitch

Hi Jim,

Just wanted to let you know about a bug at your http://www.ebookfire.com/2006Prediction-hs.html web page.

The merchant ID is missing in the opt-in form right under the first video.

And Jim, please click on my link and check if you can help me out as well. Thanks!

Regards,

Frank Bauer

May Cropley :

Great video and exciting stuff for 2006. But like other people - have had the same problem signing up for the Early Bird info.

Many thanks
May Cropley(Scotland)

Hi Jim,

You just had to make this video… for the last two days I’ve been writing like a mad man, took a break to watch your BIG Prediction and what do I get for it? Not a moment of peace! You made me have to write some more about this “trend”, etc.!

Where’s your real dog? You know, the one that talks, not that pretender in your newest video!

I received your autoresponder that led me to http://replytojim.com which led me to leave this comment… (and here I thought you were responding to let me know that my P.P.S. was coming true… ’tis the season for giving, this isn’t working is it…)

Subject: Jim, you’re making it too hard to sign up…

You don’t seem to exist(okay so I saw your video
so obviously you do exist, just not the fake dog…). Early bird can’t get the worm if…

P.S. I tried a number of times just to make sure
it wan’t my ISP acting up or a browser gremlin…

P.P.S Do I win Brownie Points?(I’m a guy so I guess it’s Club Scout Points?) An advance copy just for me? Why thank you Jim… ; P LOL

FROM JIM:

THE “EARLY BIRD” SIGNUP FORM IS FIXED :-)
Stuff like that always happens in the middle of the night… never when you are actually sitting there ready to handle it :-(
Anyway, we made a new page… the signup works… the confirmation page will take you to a page where you can get a preview of the dvd’s.

Thanks all for letting me know there was a problem with the form… I really appreciate it!

Jim

PS - my “real” dog will make an appearance next week or so :-)

Hi Jim,

Enjoyed the video and I also believe that this is a coming trend. I also see where professional readers are the ones that are going to benefit from it the most.
What does your crystal ball show on the above subject? We know if you can sell a sales letter for $5000.00, a sales video could go for $25000.00

Jim,

As usual, you are nailing it on the head. Everything is moving digital, and FAST.

Thanks to Apple for leading the way in Music & Video.

But, just as they lost the PC market share to Bill (by not marketing to the masses) My Big Prediction is they are going to lose it in Music and Video to a company that just opened in Beta Test Oct 6th in the US.

Some of the biggest names in entertainment have secretly been working on it for almost 3 years and plan on launching in the US the first of the year. They will go international soon after that.

Would love your take on it.

Steve

Sorry folks, I can audio and video ok, but this dang HTML still messes me up every once and a while. The early bird form has been fixed and tested. Please come back and sign up soon!

Mike Stewart, Audio and Video Guy and
ok web master

I liked your video. I like the future of internet
marketing, I know it’s going to be exciting.
Put me on your affiliate list to start selling
this (if you are going to have an affiliate program)

Have a great day. Much peace!
Thank you,
Marsha

Your “fire” side chat certainly was a great demo.

The two applications that I think have real value are:

1. infomercials, particularly where you have testimonials by people who are really pleased with their results or endorsements by credible experts.

2. courses where a real new learner asks common questions & the video shows eactly how to correct the problem & the learner then doing it successfully.

It will take me a while to get to it; but your video today made it quite clear what the potential is.

Having your videos searchable on Google won’t hurt either.

Best Regards,

David Eller

Hey Jim,

Great show and nice to meet the kids!

Are you still going to do a membership site? If yes, do you have any ETA? Will it be focused on creating video products?

Curiously yours,

Sheila

From Jim:

Hi Sheila,

We plan to launch the member site in either Jan or February… we’re working on a very cool way of managing the member site that NOBODY has used before (that I’m aware of) that will really make things humm

Stay tuned

Thanks :-)
Jim

Hi,

Great video, I agree that there is going to be a great future for video in the coming years.

Has really got me thinking out of the box!

Keep up the good work.

Rob :

Hi Jim, it’s Rob. Classic, when your dog jumped into your lap…that was the price of admission right there. Too cool.

…and then the ‘real dog’ arrow was too much.

Thanks yet again Jim for your ‘heads-up’ message, I’m sure we all enjoyed it.

Happy Thanksgiving Jim and Family,
sincerely,
Rob

Keith DeSantis :

Hi Jim,

I was wnodering what your take on the new ipod video player? Does this play flash or quicktime video?

-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I beleive it plays MPG4 (have loaded that on mine) and Quicktime… still playing with it.

Julie Perry :

Dear Jim,

I’m loving the FireSide Chat concept - canine surprise included!

This video was very well organized and offered a lot of convincing evidence that it’s time to jump onboard with full motion video … I think I’ll have to fast forward right past audio podcasts now. My mind is spinning as I think about all the moneymaking possibilities for this!

Thanks for the scoop, and I look forward to finding out more about the DVD series. If it’s even half as good as the Mini Site Creator set (best money I’ve ever spent on any Internet Marketing product!!!), then it will be more than well worth it.

And hey - I’ll choose watching future FireSide Chats over “Kotter” reruns any day (although, you might consider investing in some Vinnie Barbarino threads just to jazz things up a bit)…

A Happy Thanksgiving to You, Terri, Dinky, & Gracie!

Cheers,
Julie Perry

Hi Julie,

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hope you’re feeling better :-)
Online video is going to rock!

Lee Cameron :

Dear Jim,

It was with great interest that I visited your recent blog and viewed your streaming video message.

I have been marketing streaming video products as an affiliate for some time. It appears that streaming media is now available to the masses and at a very affordable price.

However, I have been doing much research on the net recently with a view to setting up my own video newsletter/blog. It was only yesterday that I was thinking that none of the ‘gurus’ are using streaming video on their websites or in their newsletter/blogs. In fact I was beginning to wonder why?

Then BANG! I saw your blog today:-)

I can’t believe the technology available today. software that detects your internet connection speed and streams the video accordingly and even now software that detects your default media player and uses it to stream the video. A double click can have the video full screen ie tv style etc etc etc.

What I find really exciting and which hasn’t been touched on here is live video broadcasting, in particular pay per view.

Can you imagine having people pay to see you broadcast your latest newsletter, seminar or product demo live? What about anyone who teaches anything? Golf, languages, internet marketing etc The possibilities are huge.

It will be interesting to see what you come out with.

Regards, Lee

Curt Graham :

Hi Jim,

Seems like the audio marketing efforts by so many software developers just go sucked up the tailpipe of the video marketing now available.

Your expertise is appreciated and I do want you to know that.

You definitely hit a nerve with me concerning information overload–right time–right help for me.

FDR had nothing you can’t surpass in Fireside Chats. I can just see others without the vision copying you immediately.

From this old guy, I would prefer that you not get out on the track with your Porche.

Thank you kindly,

Curt Graham, M.D.

Melissa Hoff :

Hey Jim,

Just thought I would say thank you for this great presentation. It gave me some good ideas. It also gave me a chance to see a bigger picture of what people will come to expect for the future. You are always a step ahead and that is the reason I come here. To see what you are doing and what new information you have put out! :)
You never fail to put the best information out there for us to use. I have been meaning to go through your database and I plan to tonight if possible. You are one of the best marketers online. You have a great resource for anyone starting out there business online.

I plan to add your blog to my webpage even though it will centrally focus on coaching I would like people to know where I get some of my ideas at. And since my chosen focus area is Success Coaching I figure for anyone who maybe interested in expanding thier business online your products are the first place they should look.

One last note, thank you for not bombarding me with email. You are one of the few marketer who I actually look for email from. I know that your emails won’t be filled with fluff, and that my comprehension level without all the work will be increased because 90% of what you send is in video format already. I just thought I would let you know that I am a full supporter of your blog and I will make sure that anyone who comes in contact with me knows who you are and what ways you have helped me.

Melissa Hoff

Doc Dave :

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the video. I thought being on dial up I cannot view it. But you are very thoughtful for us in a “far away” country.

Thanks
