Nice one, Jim! But I think in your example cost “per conversion” doesn’t just stay the same, it actually goes down.
That is, you went from spending $90 to generate $100 in gross sales (90% cost per conversation) to spending $90 to generate $120 in gross sales (that’s 75% cost per conversion).
And going from $10 gross profit to $30 on a .2% conversion increase definitely warrants a “hell yeah” over just a “boom-shaka-laka.”
Thanks as always for the excellent insight!

COOL! It’s even better than I thought
(Hey, I majored in History)

Glad you enjoyed it!

Hey, Jim! Great whiteboard format! (the intro made me laugh out loud!) I love the varied ways that you use to supply us with fantastic information. Sometimes I don’t get it one way, but for sure, you will soon hit me with the info from another direction, and it sinks in!
Many thanks,
Jana
Hi Jim, really like the video, and will be thinking about how to make my hog work better. It’s nice to see a content video being used as a presell to a free webinar. So much better than just an email. Aaron
Excellent!
Aaron,
Thanks…. I thought about having the subject line “Let me throw you the hog” and then thought better of it… go figure
Jim

Hey Jim,
I rarely respond but in this case I thought I’d give you kudos. I know for a fact what you are saying to be true. I write copy and took one clients web conversions from 2% to over 3% just by changing the headline and developing a better flow to the page – he wanted the offer and guarantee left the same. That’s over a 50% increase!
Quite often I’ll write a new sales page and supply several headlines just so they can split test and determine what works best. Then we start again…finally to satisfaction but always experimenting. It works just as you said.
Good job as always. Of the number of guru’s I’m signed up with yours is one of the few I always open and look forward to.

I’m color blind… so I think it’s the fact that my wife keeps telling me it’s a different shirt… go figure
They sure do!
Brad,
LMAO!
Jim
Hi Carl,
Yep… me too!
One time I changed a headline and had a change of 400% from one headline to another (shocking!).
It’s not sexy… but making more money from the same traffic with no additional advertising expense is very sexy!
Thanks
Jim
Excellent Jim. Fun and educational.
Hog is good
Hog is funny
Hog makes sense!
Let there be more hog in the world
Sharon,
Glad you liked it
Jim
Very, very good lecture.
There should be a college class for this!

Hi Jim
What a subject line for the email!
This “pig” will help you make more money online…
Intrigue or what?
I was grinning from ear to ear before I even saw the video.
That’s what I like about you Jim, simple but clever teaching and getting the point across so everyone can understand.
Brilliant!
regards
Graham
P.S. Keep the videos coming then maybe we can make some money to pay for one of your courses (LOL)
Hi Jim,
Thanks for good and funny video. Agree and Love to see you explaining website conversion in this way. I got some questions for you hope you can answer.
1. What’s the satisfy conversion rate should I have before going out to find out JV partner?
2. When using ppc to test and adjust conversion rate of sales letter, different keyword with different match types bring in different conversion rate. Which one should I use to show to my potential jv partner as a prove evidence?
THX
1. I would try to get it to at least 1% – that’s a good round number.
2. I don’t know that I would go into that much detail unless they asked.
Jim
Hi Jim,
As always you present an interesting and educational video, the humor is always a great touch.
Thanks

Thanks a million, Jim, for this very informative video. I am looking forward to learning more like what are the most powerful words to use in a headline. My website incorporates the word “FREE” but it probably needs some supportive punch!
God bless,
Mark
