How To Dominate A Niche With Mini-Sites!

How To Set Up A "Network" Of Mini-Sites To Dominate ALL Angles Of A Market!

Yes, it’s true… you can dominate a market with a series of mini-sites.

All you do it break down the topic into sub-niches, decide on the best *type* of mini-site to use on each "sub-niche," link them together and cross promote them… and you can turn a one-time visitor into a subscriber and repeat purchaser!

Here’s exactly what you do…

Setting Up A Mini-Site Network

If you want to kick butt and dominate a niche - watch this video…

It’s not enough to have one big website and try to be all things to all people… you need to:

  1. Divide up your topic into smaller parts (sub-niche)…
  2. Create the right type of mini-site based on your objective for each sub-niche…
  3. Drive targeted traffic to each part of the network (much *cheaper* and more effective than general traffic)…
  4. Then "recycle" the traffic across your network to turn one-time visitors into repeat customers.

Watch this video to see what needs to get done in order to accomplish this!

By the way… this is exactly what I do to grow my own business!

Gregg :

Hey Jim,

Great video. I’ve always seen conflicting thoughts on what Google thinks of this idea. I’ve heard many people say that Google will penalize this type of mini-site hub when all the site’s are owned by the same person. What are your thoughts on something like this for people who want to design these sites in an SEO fashion?

Thanks!

Gregg

BigJim :

I’m not an SEO expert (and I do ZERO SEO planning or work - ZERO)… but if you’re worried about that, then just set them up on different servers and register the domains under your pet, grandma and dad.

Jim

I’ve got over 30 unique subdomains off my main site … and Google’s pretty kind to all of them. ;)
Matter of fact … the one’s that rank highest for chosen keywords are all linked via a link box on the bottom of each page.

BTW … Yahoo and MSN have also treated them kindly.

Rankings fluctuate based on a number of variables … and occasionally a listing will ‘disappear’ for a few days, but over time all have done pretty well.

Much success,

Mike Merz

Jim,

Excellent video.Easy to understand after I
listened to your interview with Alice Seba.

Also, thank for the tip on setting some of the
mini-sites on different servers under different
owners.

The course has been fantastic for us…we did four figures for the first time last month !

Jim,

Always love your stuff. Just one piece of this puzzle is missing for me. What do you see as the primary advantage of registering, setting up and cross-pollinating three different Mini-Sites, instead of simply registering, promoting and cross-pollinating the same functions in three distinct areas of the same site? Are people less likely to buy your trucking ebook if it’s on the same site as your newsletter and/or affiliate programs? Or is this mostly about dominating a market by having three footprints (feetprints?) in a niche instead of one? I may have just answered my own question…

David

Bill Paul :

Hi Jim,
I thought the mini site concept was just great!

Although I am trying to move your products, I find myself caught up trying to put them on one site. This can get not only complicated, but I need to lead them in somehow, to “buy or die”. This mini site idea has put on the light bulb for me.
Thanks for the wonderful info.,
Bill P.

Wow, Great audio file. Very helpful on helping people focus on what the purpose of a website is.

People need to listen to this! Focus is the biggest challenge to success online. It’s easy to start a website without a goal, I’ve done it many times and had to reevaluate my goals for the site.

Thank you so much for this free audio, very informative!

Jim,

Thanks for laying this out so neatly…it confirms what I am currently working on. And by the way, the Mini Site Creator course is very helpful (I wish I had had this last year!). My question is…are you running these sites throught the same domain or are they totally individual?

Many thanks,

Barbara

Jean :

Hi Jim,
You are so right. When they have an interest, people appreciate all the above…. the ebooks, the accessories, and the Newsletters or Blogs that answer their questions.

My new blog, jeanwelles.com, just went up a couple weeks ago. Am already getting great feedback from my list. How did you get your subscription box on every page? What a great idea!

Blessings,
Jean

Robert :

Hi Jim,

great stuff - as usual.

I was just wondering, if it wouldn’t be better to turn the “Truck Accessories Mini-Site” into a full blown content site (with 50 or more pages).

Sure, it will take more time to create it, but on the other hand, this type of site would drive much more traffic and it would effectively “presell” your visitors.

In other words, you win the trust of your visitors through high-value content and increase your “conversion rate” - to make them click on your affiliate links or the links to your e-book sales mini-site.

Thanks Jim, and I’m looking forward to your next video ;-)

Hey Jim,

You’re a jet! What a great video!! I love the way you explain things - maybe you should do this for a living ;-)))) You’ve again given me another couple of great ideas that I’ll be putting into action this weekend.

Good onya mate,

Mark

PS: I can’t wait for the Mini Site Create affiliate program to go live.

Terri :

Hi Jim,

Great video. I had been working on a niche product that has tons of sub-niches and this video
answers the “how-to” question for me.

Can’t wait to see what is coming tomorrow.

Have a great one.

Terje Ellingsen :

Hi Jim,
and thanks for your great e-business advice. The question I have is: Why do you have to make a mini-SITE for every micro-niche, why not a PAGE or a small collection of pages within an industry- or a braoder niche site? As long as the search engines ranks pages and not sites, what difference does it make, other than have a lot of domains to manage? Maybe I’m not up to date regarding the appropriate knowledge.
I thank you in advance for your reply.

Sincerely,
Terje Brooks Ellingsen

BigJim :

I have separate domains for all my mini-sites because it helps create a separate identity for each mini-site in the minds of the customer. You can, however, do it with sub-folders or separate pages.

I know it helps with the search engines, but I don’t promote to the search engines on purpose and can’t tell you how to do that… but it’s nice that it works out that way.

Jason Walker :

Jim Edwards constantly offers some the best advise for new online marketers. This video answered questions that have been swimming in my head for weeks and months. As online marketers or wannabe(s) as I am, we’re exposed to so much information telling us “HEY! Dummy! Ya gotta have links, ya gotta have a niche market, ya gotta have your own URL and HTML code and RSS feed and XML,and and domains and hyperlinks…” AAAHHHHGGGHHHH!!!!! I don’t have aclue what half that stuff is, let alone how it might be useful to me. It’s nice to see a simple video presentation that clarifies some of the questions I’ve had. And that’s what Jim provides on a regular basis. Thanks for some clarity in a sea of mud.
