Hi Jeff- Thanks, that’s a great idea. Thank you for sharing.
Jim,
You and Jeff make an excellent points.
I think the key is to get in ‘motion’ – do something.
Take 10 minutes in ezinearticles as you suggest and then write 10 headlines, the maybe 2 intro paragraphs and you are off to the races!

I agree 110%!!!
Jim
I like to set up keyword alerts in google for my main keywords. (get a free gmail account just for this if you don’t have one) They email me snippets from all around the web relating to my keyword.
If I feel extremely uncreative, I write a post ‘responding or commenting’ on someone else’s post.
“I just read a great article at such and such’s blog” (link here to the other blog) and then summarize the post. Make sure you add at least a paragraph of you own thoughts.
You can be in agreement or disagreement, it doesn’t matter. More than likely it will stimulate other ideas.
I like to keep a “blog post idea” log for the times I feel stuck.
Thanks Jim for reminding me how to get “unstuck”
Debbie
Good advise Jim. A quote from Anish Kapoor, “All ideas grow out of other ideas”.
Hey Jim,
Watch this space. I’ll have a video product done in 5 days time.

This has given me the impetus for something I have been thinking about for weeks and with listening to Armands comment and this video I’m gonna do it.

Agreed… and that’s why people shouldn’t be afraid to share their ideas… they grow and change… a poverty mentality in this area is bad for everyone.
Jim
Excellent! Good for you… glad you’re inspired
Debbie,
I think you sound “stuck” at some points, not uncreative… look for more stimulation and try to find things you’re passionate about.
What you describe is just one of many ways to create content… don’t give up on that, but expand your arsenal so you’re excited and it always seems fresh.
Jim

Great ideas, Jim! I just want to add another idea. Post comments on other people’s blogs. I create a lot of my content that way. I add my insights to whatever topic they were discussing. Then I take my insights and flesh them out into a full article on the subject that is 100% unique.
But I’ve found that the act of commenting triggers my creativity and gets me out of the “what should I write about” swamp. I rarely sit down and try to think of a topic anymore. Even when I need to write on a particular subject, I always get myself going by seeing what others have said about the same subject. Inspiration comes quickly and easily that way.
Hmmm… now where should I use the article I flesh out of this comment?
