It won’t work with a flip or Zi8… you need a digital camcorder for it.

However, the Zi8 does have an external mic jack

I know you can do that. But Mike’s sales page says it will let you use a separate mic, instead of being stuck with the one in the camera. But the camera he shows in his sales video is much more complicated than my little Kodak.

I do wish I’d seen that free converter program before I upgraded QuickTime to the pro version.
