How To Find Your Passion – 3 Easy Steps

Discover What Is Your Passion!

What is your passion? How to find your passion?

Two critical questions if you want to achieve success.

Passion is what drives all successful online businesses. Sure, some people get lucky. Others make it on pure hard work and dogged determination. Others get in at the right time with the right thing. But, for the most part, the people who really make it big online have found and followed their true passion!

What is your passion? Here are 3 Steps that will help you discover your true passion so you can follow it to success.

Step 1: What activities do you LOVE to DO?

The first step in discovering what I call your Passion “Sweet Spot” is to analyze what you love to DO. Define the activities you love to engage in. Take a little time and think about these questions:

What would you do for free because you love it so much?

What do you think about doing all day at “work” that you can’t wait to go home and get started?

What do you think about doing all week while “living for the weekend?”

What do you start doing and then turn around and realize 3 hours just passed in a blink of an eye?

What activity do you engage in that leaves you feeling MORE energized when you’re done than when you started?

Those questions help you discover you PASSION in action!

Step 2: What gets your emotions and feelings into overdrive?

The next step in discovering your passion is to analyze what gets you into emotional extremes. Emotion creates energy. Anything that gets you into a highly emotional state indicates potential for channeling high ENERGY.

What makes you REALLY happy? (I mean deliriously happy!)

What makes you REALLY mad? (Injustice?)

What gets you fired up and ready to fight for a cause? (A personal crusade?)

What makes you feel total bliss or fun?

What makes you feel 110% alive and “in the moment?”

These questions help you find the energy that will fuel your passion in action!

Step 3: What gives you intense satisfaction?

The final step in discovering your passion is to think about what makes you feel a sense of real accomplishment. Figuring out your passion means more than just whatever you love doing or whatever gets you pumped up. It means discovering what gives you that inner sense that you’re making a difference and having an impact on the world. That’s part of passion too!

What makes you stop and say “Wow! Look what I did!”?

What makes you proud of yourself even when nobody else is looking?

What do others stop you and say “Wow! That’s a helluva job you did there!”?

What do others ask you to help them with that makes you feel intense satisfaction?

Intense satisfaction helps put a powerful reason “Why” behind your passion.

Bottom line:

Finding your passion means finding the place where what you do, what you feel, and what satisfies you all converge. That’s your true passion. The kind of passion that can sustain you through all circumstances and keep you focused and “in the game” when things don’t go exactly as planned.

Take some time to go through these three steps to find your passion. Why? Because finding your passion will literally change the entire direction of your life – forever!

Outsource Web Design Development

“How do I find people to outsource my web design development work to that will understand what I need done without me doing it?”

The most expensive thing you can do is to ask someone to just “Handle my web design and development for me!”

Why?

Because very few people can handle ALL aspects of developing and designing a website effectively. They’ll just turn around and outsource the parts that you could find someone to do yourself (a lot cheaper).

So, outsourcing web design / development actually breaks down into the following areas:

  • Domain setup
  • Web hosting setup
  • WordPress installation
  • Graphical “look and feel” (theme)
  • Header Graphic
  • Text and graphical content layout (formatting)
  • Database / Email Database setup

Each of these items can be outsourced relatively inexpensively compared with trying to outsource everything on the list to a single party.

So how do you outsource your web design development?

Here are 3 simple steps for outsourcing EACH of the tasks individually.

Step 1: Define the exact tasks you want done and in which order (like I did above).

Step 2: Go somewhere like Fiverr or VWorker and find people who have already done each specific task you need done (these won’t be the same people for each task). Sort them based on the feedback they’ve received on past jobs. Hire the one that looks the best for each task.

Step 3: Outsource each task, in order, until your website gets completely set up with the features you need.

Keep it simple! I’ve been designing and developing websites since 1997. The biggest mistake I see people make is they get too complicated out of the box. Keep it simple, get a good design done up front, then develop and expand your web over time.

Follow these three simple steps and you can outsource web design development very effectively and quickly!

Time Management Tips: 3 Steps To Get ANYTHING Done!

How can I change poor time management habits that are stopping me from completing anything?

From my experience, poor time management comes down to one of a few problems. If you’re having problems managing your time and getting things done, chances are you’re falling down in one or more of these areas:

  1. Wimpy or non-existent reason WHY you’re doing what you’re doing (“what’s the point?”);
  2. Overwhelmed by the sheer volume of your to-do list;
  3. Or, you have no clue “where to start” or what to do next.

So here’s what I do when time seems to slip away and nothing gets done.

Step 1 – Write down your #1 Current Goal / Project on a piece of paper.

Get very clear on the #1 priority in your life right now. Too many priorities and too many projects mean nothing gets done. Pick one and STICK with it until it’s done. It won’t happen any other way.

Step 2 – Get very clear on WHY you’re taking action.

Write down WHY you’re taking action on the same piece of paper directly under your current goal or project

This gives you leverage on yourself when things get tough. Also, it helps your subconscious understand why what you’re doing is important and where it “fits” in the big picture of your life.

Hang this piece of paper on the wall in front of your computer where you can see it at all times, even out of the corner of your eye. This serves as a focal point and visual reminder of your #1 project right now.

Step 3 – Write down the NEXT 3 (and only 3) Actions you need to take to reach the goal or complete the project.

You might have a master list of 15 action items. That’s fine. Keep it in a drawer and don’t pull it out again until you’ve completed the next 3 action items. This will prevent you from feeling overwhelmed. Write those 3 action items on a post-it note and paste it on the side of your monitor so they remain in front of you until they get done.

Don’t do anything else until these three action items are completed!

Now, a couple of thoughts on this VERY effective 3-step process:

  • If you must wait on someone else to do something – like graphics, layout, design, etc. – then move on to the next ACTION item immediately. Very rarely will you find yourself in a position with “nothing to do.”
  • Avoid distractions like: phone, TV, radio, and walk-in interruptions

The reason why this 3-step process works is very simple: it gets you very CLEAR on WHAT your #1 priority is; it gets you very CLEAR on WHY you’re taking action; it keeps you focused on ACTION while avoiding overwhelm.

Bottom Line: Focus, know why you’re taking action, and have the guts to go to work and do what you gotta do!

2 Questions that create HUGE Results!

I’m sick of it.

People make things too complicated.

Because they know “complicated” is often seen as “more valuable,” many “gurus” play a dirty trick on people.

To make THEIR programs seem more valuable, many “gurus” (no matter what the industry) make things more complicated than they need to be, put fancy, made-up names on stuff and sell them for high prices as the next “bright, shiny object!”

So, would you like me to cut through about 1,000 pages of crap?

Want me to cut out 50 hours of video and several 3-day hotel seminars and just GIVE you the TWO questions that lead to info-marketing and online business success?

I thought you would… and I’ve got this NEW course I’d like to tell you about… oh, just kidding! :-)

Here are the questions – so simple – so effective!

Ready?

1. What PROBLEM will you solve?

2. HOW will you solve it?

And, if you need me to get more complicated, here’s the third question you should answer:

3. WHO will you solve it for?

That’s it!

Sell ebooks? Answer the questions.

Sell physical products? Answer the questions.

Sell as an affiliate? Answer the questions.

Sell a service? Answer the questions.

Answer THOSE questions and everything else (traffic, blogs, ppc, video, social media, etc.) is just in the details.

Sure, those things are important too, but they fall in line much more easily because your focus is spot-on the HOW, WHAT, and WHO that will pay your bills (by purchasing from or through you).

The core of your business should ALWAYS revolve around those questions.

Simple.

Direct.

Do NOT over-complicate this… keep it simple and focused on those fundamentals and your business, book sales, or affiliate commissions will skyrocket!

And speaking of cutting through the “crap!”…

The other thing you need to look at is coming along on “The Jim Boat 2013: Cut The Crap Cruise!”
